Anyone here know of any pubs in London that show live eL games?

I know of one pub in Ilford with an Irish sky card but don't think they have ever shown eL games.

It would be great to 'designate' a pub that would show games, get a few people in to watch the games!

The matches will all be live on rte.ie and viewable worldwide.

Buy cans and stay at home :)

I suggest you approach one of them and see if they'll become an "official" pub for el fans. If you can guarentee a crowd they'll show the games no problem. A grea chance for exiles to get together IMO

There's a few around that will show the games if you ask them in-advance,as there's not much else on at that time on a Friday.

McGoverns in Kilburn is a favourite of the Derry City fans. Even has a Derry man as a barman.

There's some place in Ealing as well.

Basically - find a few Irish pubs near you, find out if they show RTE and then see if they'll put it on for you. Alternatively head to McGoverns

I do know that McGoverns in Cricklewood has RTE and if you ask Austin the Govn'r he normally will oblige. That is if you sup a few pints while you are watching the game. :ball:

Is there ? Feck that's handy to know, as the one in Kilburn is tiny......!

Difficult to get to from the tube I imagine though.

While RTE and TG4 games will be available online, it may not be the case for TV3 and Setanta Ieeland games.

So it would be nice to have a place where a few fans of all clubs could arrange to meet up!

For Setanta matches, head to the Porterhouse in Covent Garden. They don't have the terrestrial channels though. Again - ring in advance to avoid the proverbial disappointment.
