Was wondering lads if ye have any suggestions for a name? At the moment I'm working off leaving the name at 'Out on a Lim', but am open to suggestions.

I'm not so bad, my girlfriend is a dab hand at it though so I can go to her with any problems I encounter

And lads, Treaty R Us? Unlimited? You both should be ashamed :)

Don't worry, anyone who comes up with the name 'Treaty R Us' loses all right to have their opinions listened to in my book :)

"An Bael Bocht"

LFCIE came up with it last year and it suits us down to the ground.

Can we never agree on anything?! Actually if I could get a weekend poll put up with An Bael Bocht, Out on a Lim, The Crazy 37s, 37 and Life and Anti-Galway Propoganda as the options it would be great

Failing that I'll just write my own fanzine :p

Why not pick 3 of the above, mail them to the website and ask the lads to run an online poll for you

Voice of Reason

Is there a reason why 'beal bocht' is being misspelled? Am I missing out on a joke?

It's a good name - but would a name in english help promote it to non-irish speakers?

jebus

I think at the moment there are more fans coming through this site, so thats why I asked for the poll to be here

How about "St Muncheons Curse"

You know the one where noone from the city will ever do well there ,only outsiders succeed??? Of course part of that is to slag off anyone who makes a genuine effort to better themselves and never give them credit????

"An Bael Bocht"

LFCIE came up with it last year and it suits us down to the ground.

Wasn't me - I suggested The Curse of St Munchin.

I think Beal Bocht is a useless name. :)

How about "37, Rising Rapidly" or "What the Hell Does 37 mean?" or "70 Years To Here?"

70 Years To Here? I like, tell you what lads, we'll have a chat about it in the pub tonight before the game. What time is everyone thinking of heading to Turners at?

There's an article for you. Check out the wikipedia article on the number 37 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/37_%28number%29). My favourite quote, "666 = 18 x 37. Thus 37 is the largest prime factor of the Number of the Beast"

And we have 18 players!

Thats why all the freaky sh1t happened last night like soft penalties and lots of football. It a pact with the devil. Which I'm all for if it means we win. :)

Id stick with "out on a lim" as its been around for about 5 years now and every media outlet robs or uses it in their match reports. Also a record company liked it so they use it. Barring that id go for "The Crazy 37's.

The first fanzine I ever read was a Limerick City fanzine called LYAL - "Limerick, You're A Lady" back in the early 90's. Then Cork had one called No More Plastic Pitches and there was a Galway United one called Standing Room Only.

Suggested names for a Limerick 37 fanzine?????

L37ers
Trocha Seacht
Jackman Parkers
Trick or Treaty
Fall from Grace (only old timers will like this one!)

I'd stick with Out On A Limb as well.

BTW, Out On A Limb Records release some mighty fine stuff and one of the lads was known to make an odd appearence at Lims matches years ago.

I'll bring the disk with me on friday night if anyone knows a thing or two about computers so they can take a look at it. sorry again lads

For a print run of the kind of size you're dealing with, I would imagine you're better off just buying a printer yourself. Professional printing is dear in this country.

Sorry for the confusion friday night lads, thanks to a last dash run to a printers, aided by redron's computer knowledge we got it out at the last minute. With that in mind, any feedback lads? What worked, what didn't etc, what could be changed for the next issue?

Its fine, but as i was saying to you, no point in killing yourself in trying to get it made up. Better to take your time and have 4/5 a season with plenty(ish) of content and sell each issue over a number of games. (only my opinion) so far so good though!

Agreed. Most fanzines run no more often than every second home game.

was this the crazy 37s fanzine?

if so i thought it was very poor for 2 euro. one well written article and that was it. the cover was poor, the photos were average and the layout was very basic - too much white page.

maybe you should check out some music fanzines for some inspiration and ideas?

i believe one of ye involved in its production is in cork? then make your way into plugd records on washington street and purchase unfit for consumption zine.

Sorry there's a bit of a buzz around it now with people wanting to know how crap it is and such

Price is now €11.83 and constantly rising, could hit the €35 mark by kick off imo
