"Hong Kong-born Anna Lo, secured the fourth highest vote in the constituency, with 3,829 votes."

http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/?jp=MHAUKFCWQLKF

read this and it got me thinking, sorta shines a new light on race/religion/culture/background etc. I reckon this lady wouldn't give two sh1tes about religion in northern ireland or have any sectarian beliefs, yet I reckon given the choice she would prefer northern ireland to remain part of the UK( based mainly on economic/demographic/trade/etc etc circumstances ). Given that this is likely it opens up a whole debate about race and colour and a persons historical backgroung ( for lack of a better word ), northern ireland is steeped in history, beliefs and origins, yet people would say once you are born in a country, you are automatically a citizen of that country and what goes with that. Yet I beleive there is more to just being born in a country to automatically make you a "part" of that country. In the case above it would dillute northern ireland ( if this occured from mass immigration into the country ).

I know she is chinese born, but it will happen that norn iron born chinese people will seek electoin in the future.....and this is what i am moreso pointing to.
