Just a question I have about betting with betfair.

I understand the whole backing and laying concept, but I find it hard to believe the odds in the screenshot below. How are the odds for backing under 2.5 goals so much lower than laying more than 2.5 goals? Is this correct?

If you look on the screen shot there, it says 0 euros matched, meaning that the odds there are the only ones posted so far, just people looking for risk free money really.

Does that mean someone is offering to take a bet of 6 euro 220/1 on being over 2.5 goals?

Looks like you just about to offer those odds from that picture?

But if I was laying on those odds am I not laying against more than 2.5 goals been scored? How can you win on those odds?

DON'T DO THAT BET!!!!!!!!!!!

You';re LAYING that bet at 220. Look at the bottom left of the screen grab! Your liability would be 1095 (to win 220)

You don't. Betfair matches prices between punters. If you'd like to bet over 2.5 on this game and would like to back it at 2/1. Press the blue button and type in 3 for odds and your stake in that box. If someone thinks thats a "fair"bet they'll match it and your bet will be confirmed. if not it'll go unmatched and yur money returned to you
