Can anyone remember was RTÉ.ie's EL coverage available worldwide last season? I would walk downstairs and ask but I'd say you lot will have the answer waaaaay quicker. ;)

Ah yes, how could I forget that glorious episode in RTÉ's irish football coverage. Cheers.

Yes you sure will - technical problems not withstanding - but I'm going to personally make sure that all Bohs games are blocked in Canada. :D

yea Sligo rovers vs Derry in the FAI cup was available online too
I think its only GAA & foreign football that RTE can't show outside Ireland. If someone owned the North American rights to the eL i suppose RTE would not be able to broadcast there...

Towards the end of last season all live RTE games were available on broadband worldwide (they showed Shels V Drogs for example). Not sure if the same is the case this season. I can't find anything on the RTE website about it.

Another question for the exiles that I have always wondered at is: How can you leave the country and not see your club play on a regular basis
take an aeroplane to your destination and dont watch any games on the internet would be my advice RR. ;)

Friday Sportsnight serves a superb purpose for the exiled eLer
I did a small article on this for my Blog:

If you want to access any online streaming, from any website that stipulates you have to be from a certain country, simply go to a site like http://www.publicproxyservers.com/ and chose a proxy server address for whatever country you want.
Then go into your connection settings and change your connection to the relevant proxy address.

It helps also having a club in your current country's league. (Although I didn't actually leave the country, having been born and raised in the US.) I'm hoping to be able to get to see some of the games by the startup 4th-tier club in Buffalo live this summer, and will be following Toronto on the TV. I could follow a European club that's on here more than an EL side, like ManU. But I wouldn't feel so attached to them.

Have you ever watched Kildare County play football? I ended up in Florida, and that's just because the plane ran out of fuel!:D

This season www.eircom.net if you have broadband will have football available for up to 4 days after the games have been broadcast.

All live games on RTÉ Television will be available worldwide on rte.ie. It will be announced by press release tomorrow. I assume the release will be on rte.ie then as well.

No good to those of us outside of Ireland as you need to have an eircom Broadband subscription to use the service

You kids don't know how lucky you are with your fancy broadband streaming in England (and what aboot Canada) and the like. In my exile days all we had was a dial-up connection to the old eL board. :(

Is there a way to watch the games online internationally afterwards? A 19:45 start in Ireland means a 14:45 start for me, and I don't even get home from work till 16:30 at the earliest. If they are only live, then this really puts me at a disadvantage. :( Tried the public proxy server site, couldn't find one for Ireland.
