One week to go to the Big Kick Off and I'm wondering how long it will take before the big Moanfest takes off in earnest. Will it take one defeat, one defeat and a draw at home? One new signing to have a nightmare performance?

Some of the posts from GUFC supporters to GUFC supporters have been really depressing in recent times. I was hoping the moderator might get more involved - but I suppose everyone has a right to express their own view and our messageboard is no different to other clubs when it comes to the negative stuff.

However, I have been following this club for a very long time & I won't desert them, no matter how wobbly the sequence of results (if we have one).

I'm hoping to use any future posts of my own to SUPPORT the club, the manager, the players.

I'm not totally blind, I know there's loads of stuff that stinks, that could be better, that is just plain wrong.

But in future, unless I've got something positive to post about MY CLUB, I'm going to resist the temptation to click the <post now> button.

Any takers??????????????????????????????
How long do you think I'll last????????????

Its pointless having a forumn unless you are willing to give an honest opinion (provided its reasonable).
I do not believe in being over critical but I do like to analyse performances both by the team and individuals. I discuss this with my friends before during and after games.
So I see no reason why I would not do the same here

Has there ever been a more stupid thread on foot.ie?!

So its meant to be all joy and happiness irrespective of what is happening on the pitch. We all hope that United have a brilliant season and that we win loads of matches playing entertaining football. We all hope too that all new signings turn out to be top class players with real competition for each of the 11 positions on the team.

Unfortunately, this will always be the case and all supporters are entitled to air their opinions and whether that is positive or negative is his/her prerogative.

Trying to create a DAZ BLUE WHITE UNITED wont wash. Debate is what keeps everyones juices flowing.

I think MyTown is trying to make the point that people should be posting comments that are based in fact and not just generic comments slamming the players, management or club...negative comments like 'same old ****e' or 'such and such an individual is always crap'.

If a player is ****e or if the manager makes a 'dodgy' decision, everyone is entitled and obliged to comment...and I'm sure they will.

isint it better to come on here and express your frustrations about united than doing it in some other way - you may even stand corrected and look on things differently - it shouldnt be see no evil hear no evil speak no evil
