Once again a heavy Cork bias on the panel this season. No doubt Roddy and his younger brother Peter will continue to sit back and say nothing while the Dubs get ridden rock solid.

The Cork/Galway game was meant to be Bohs and Rovers until our part-time police force and craven football authorities moved it.

But the Bohs-Rovers game was supposed to be on the 23rd wasn't it? I was hoping they'd have a live game on that night seeing as I'll have no game to go to now.

Whoops, there goes my claim to know everything up in smoke. There will be a live game on the 23rd too. When I know you'll know.....

Well I live in Drogheda now and they're playing away that weekend otherwise I'd head along to that. Shels are at home to Dundalk in what looks like a very interesting game but I'd feel dirty paying in to a Shels home game that we're not playing in and Pats are away to Derry that weekend so it'll be in with my feet up and a few beers.

Gavin said: “We are delighted by the decision of the four broadcasters to screen a record number of live fixtures this season. Viewing figures for televised eircom League of Ireland fixtures have been consistently high over the last number of years, which we believe shows the huge interest in our game that is out there. By screening games live, we hope to be able to convince those people with a passing interest in the eircom League of Ireland of the huge reservoir of playing talent that exists in this country.”

Fran how about a decent highlights programme? How about not putting games on live that will inconvenience away fans like the last fixture above?

Jokeshop.

Every league in the world schedules games that inconvenience away fans. Saturday 11 kick offs in England, Monday games anywhere etc etc

Monday games will get a decent rating with nothing else on. I’d expect a fair few more on Setanta on Mondays. I think Scheduling live games on a Friday opposite a full set of fixtures is far worse.

Agree we need a quality highlights programme. The 4 broadcastors should be forced to cover all Premier games at the minimum. Its not a priority for clubs as they need live TV for sponsors etc

No argument. Just that if there is a monday night game make it Pats v boez, Derry v sligo. I know that we'd be p1ssed off if we had to go to Derry on a monday night.
