[quote=finnpark;997791]Roy O'Donovan has gone on loan to lowly Dundee Utd for the season.

Craig Levein rates Roy very highly, Looks like he'll go straight into starting 11 up front Monday night vs Hamilton and then try his luck against the Celts next Sunday. I think Both games are live on TV. Top scorer for Dundee this season eh..;) Gl kid..

They're former UEFA Cup runners up and European Cup semi finalists.
Former. Reims are former European Cup runners up but are still lowly!

They finished fifth last year though; not bad. Still a step down from Sunderland, which I assume is partly the original point.

Well we will see Roy O'Donovan and the great European Champions tonight against relegation favourites Hamilton.

Once a player steps down a grade they seem to get worse and we may see that tonight for Roy

I think he'll do pretty well. I could see him getting 20 goals at least over the season.

Yep. Doing well for himself, considering he could barely get a game for Derry.

And he came off injured at half time.

Startard Sammo quote from the Killie manager "He was a real handful (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/scot_cups/7629642.stm)." Usually the away fans who say that while the home fans wonder what the away fans have been taking, but still delighted to see him do so well.

Thanks for that reminder thischarmingman.

BBC report, Conor went off injured at half-time.

Shame because he was on a hat-trick and everything.

"Conor sammon didn't come out for the second half because of a dead-leg he picked up just before half-time. And perhaps it was well fot the visitors because after Conor broke his duck he looked in the mood for a hatful more."

I agree, I've seen that mood about him.
Not the first time he's scored in a cup competition either.

What's the story with McCourt's fitness?

Big interview with McCourt in the paper today. He admitted himself he was nowhere near fit enough to be in the first team squad yet but he is getting closer each and every day.

Not sure if this is in right place, but surely of interest to LOI fans?

NEVER going to happen. He's good but not that good.

There were also Hull and Reading scouts at the game according to one poster on out message board. If you'd seen how much he's improved in the year he's been here, there's no reason he can't get even better over the next couple (he's contracted for another 2 years). I'm not saying Real Madrid and Barcelona are going to be beating a trail to our door over the next few weeks but it's encouraging that a club as big as Chelsea would be over watching McGinn. And if you had seen him often this season you'd know that if anyone could make it over there, he could.

Paddy McCourt scored for Celtic's reserves tonight against a relatively strong Aberdeen team. Apparently he beat 3 or 4 players before scoring!

Regarding McGinn, surely at 21 he's already considered 'past it' by any PL clubs? Sure if you're not in the first team by 17 these days you're no longer considered a prospect.

John O'Flynn scored within thirty seconds and later missed a penalty for Barnet against some other no-mark team in whatever no-mark league they play in the other day, if anyone cares.

Paddy McCourt on the bench for Celtic against Inverness. Wonder if he'll get on?

Great goal. Celtic have some key men missing at the moment so Paddy could be getting a run in the first team sooner than expected.

I've just moved to South-East London and the every week the local paper is raving about David Forde. He seems to be turning it regular performances for Millwall, good to see him finally get a run in a team.
