I suppose in hindsight Keely is an obvious choice to ride in on his white horse to save Shels...

He'll probably make his naughty pupils play for Shel$ as punishment

Yeh, it was in the Sun during the week, and he felt it was the right decision to demote. In the same article he did a Roddy by saying he only has feelings for two clubs (i) Home Farm and (ii) Shelbourne. That was a clear come and get me plea.

I couldn't care less how we play football now during this mess. I'll be just happy to see Shels play at this stage.

I think he said he didn't want anything to do with full-time clubs and would leave his options open for a part-time club.

Anyway, the dream lives on of Noel King's Barmy Army :D

He played a good style of football when he was with CHF for the part of last season they took part in,did he not?

Not the couple of times I seen them play.

Great move by Shels though. Hugely experienced. Has worked with tony budgets before. Outstanding record at practically every club he's been.

Great appointment, though I think Keely is bonkers to take it! Though in saying that, he doesn't really have anything to lose. I'd say at the first sign of a bouncing cheque or non-payment of wages to his players, he'll walk and rightly so.

He just can't resist the temptation of football. Every time he leaves a club he says it'll be his last, but he always comes back. Great coup by Shels.

No, the FAI invited him over. He'll be heading up the new LMAI.

I can only judge on one match, but they get the ball on the ground.
