Agree with that. Even more worthless than paper petitions.

While i rarely have any problems with NTL been wondering recently how they get to call it digital. Aside from providing a few extra channels now & then I can't think of anything new to their service in the last 5 years since i've had 'digital'.

At the same time Sky have added numerous services.

NTL are to tv what eircom are to telephones.

Its digital as the picture is clearer and you cna have oodles of channels. Sky's interactivity is obviously far superior but doesn't really affect me tbh.

BTW NTL and Chorus was bought by a company called UPC (http://www.upc.ie) and expect to see it rebranded very soon. maybe then they'll upgrade their system.

Probably not...

I would be surprised if they upgraded. Like eircom i think they try to extract as much value out of the current network with as little investment as possible.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/digitaltv/a43031/virgin-media-to-lose-sky-channels.html

NTL have bought Virgin in the UK, and they maybe be losing the Sky channels. Not sure if this will have any effect in Ireland but might be worth considering if you are thinking of switching.
