I've been trying to get as much information about the club as possible on to the wikipedia page. Con Houlihan (Irish Press (?) writer) used to go to a lot of the games, I think.
Someone noted elsewhere that Gerry Thornley (Irish Times rugby corespondent) is a fan.
Barry Andrews (local TD) is a regular.

There's an article on notable former players on stigonline.com. Included should be Hugo MacNeill (won the Triple Crown for Ireland and played in the rugby World Cup), Peter Lorimer (Leeds United's record scorer) and Joe Hanrahan. If you want to go back in time, you have Brian Lenihan (ex-Presidential candidate), Ollie Byrne (convicted criminal) and TS Andrews (later head of CIE). Again, all on the article.

The flag for Peter Lorimer needs to be changed he was Scottish and would be very unimpressed at seeing an English flag beside his name. And don't laugh he might well be checking the internet.
