(inspired by James mention of movie on other thread)

RTE showed it last night but probably be shown on other channel over next few weeks - checkout "Withnail & I" if you not seen before for classic comedy.

Me likes the Hitch****s movies & think some channel showing them over the holidays as well - IMO all of them are great.

Any other recommendations?

*having undertaken a serious and rather lengthy study of his Sunday Times Culture TV section this morning ..and highlighted said watchable movies.. i can make a full report on this tomoro.. but from memory i wasnt highlighting many as even being semi-worthwhile this year..well excluding the foreign channels

methinks video's and DVD's i'll be awatching this year over irish coffee's and mince pies :D

oh yeah chaeck out TG4's listing .. think they got better films then either rte or network 2 alot of the nights

Withnail & I is a bit dated & todays students probably not able to relate to it but i think most people either were or knew those characters :)

Fight Club was classy movie.

Lord o the Rings II should be good - supposed to be even better than the first.

The Big JCs guest appearance in Ben-Hur is the greatest piece of cinema ever.

Ah Conor, you still don't realise that "the great one"'s name is
