View Full Version : Clueless Murphy
I dunno if there been any quotes from him yet after yesterdays debacle but no doubt he'll be pleased to get an away point & a clean sheet.
I know its just my opinion but i think we should have dropped Billy at halftime & brought on Colin P to play 3 up front against the 3 Drogs centre backs. How Billy survived to "play" the whole match is beyond me.
Struggling to create any chances against a team in Droghedas position says ity all about citys away performances this season.
:(
pretty pitiful result alright. why city couldn't be more positive against the likes of drogheda is very disapointing. of the 6 games we have lost 3 were to longford, drogheda and Ucd- crazy stuff.
i mean we are struggling to even finish third at the mo'.
to be honest we will be lucky to finish in the top three.
as for billy woods- the guy should be sold off

I wouldn't go that far but lets just say he may not be the most reliable these days. Admittadly yesterdays pitch didn't suit him but it isn't the first time hes played on a poor pitch either.

Ok, it wasn't his best game ever but what was he supposed to do when they kept hoofing it up to him. Billy played terrible and should have been taken off instead.
We should have gone all out attack because at this stage a point is no better than 0 points.
Gunther seemed to send the team out yesterday with no gameplan. Everytime someone got the ball the belted it into the air straight away.
IMO, probably our worst performance of the season.:(

Oh, well that has to be a first  NOT!
Twas rubbish alright. Especially considering where the Drogs are at the minute. They have been getting results though in recent matches.
That said though, I thought Hoggie did alright. He was a busy man but he keep on top of things for the main part.
As for Billy he keep dropping back beside Hoggie for a lot of the first half. Didn't notice as much in the second, but I found that odd. Covering Daly I suppose. Hasn't been the best though our Billy. More consistant than Ollie though in my book.

Ya, its hard to know who's more (in)consistant between Ollie and Billy, I mean, Billy had a stormer against Derry IMO but when we played Rovers in Richmond he looked like $hite, but then again Ollie only plays when he wants to aswell. He put no effort into his last 2 years at City and only scored in 4 games last year. It would be good if we had both of them, but I think that Billy, and Ollie when he was around, knows that he has no competition for his position. A coinsidence that Billy came back as soon as Ollie left? I think not.
PS Sounds like normal away day match for City but at least we managed to keep a clean sheet which hasnt happened for a while.

he also calls bohs the league champions
I hate to bring it up yet again, but Deccie......
I felt that Rennie was spending a lot of his time very deep covering for Daly. I also would agree that CP should have come on a half time, put Warren on instead of Billy and left Bennet where he was. With 10 - 15 minutes to go, he should have thrown on CT as well. At that stage he should have gone all out for the 3 points, cos I think we will get 3rd anyway even if we lost yesterday.
The pitch was a disgrace though.
(maybe Liam should have had a look at some of the young lads who played at half time ? ;))
