View Full Version : Let's Keep The FAI Thought Police Busy
Remember the whole FAI 'We care about Irish football' slogan?
Given recent events, what should be their next slogan? I'll nominate the funniest reply for POTM as a super prize!

Actually due to a error in Merrion Square, a word was left off the original slogan which should of read;
'We care about Irish football junkets'
"We care about Irish Football-ish"

In fairness the Open Days are the baby of Noel Mooney and you would be hard pressed to find a more enthusiastic person to promote the League. The fixtures are nothing to do with him but as soon as they come out you can be guaranteed that he will be promoting them like mad.

To build on Maribor's theme :
THE DELANEY SHOW
(To the tune of 'The Muppet Show')
It's time for smoke and mirrors,
It's time to dim the lights,
It's time to ask Delaney
Will he ever get things right ?
Ba-da Ba BA !
It's time to change the fixtures,
It's time to license sh!te.
It's time for gross incompetence
On the Delaney Show tonight.
Fan No. 1 : "Why do they always seem to"
Fan No. 2 : "Keep our league down on its knees".
Fan No. 1 : "It's like our clubs are lepers"
Fan No. 2 : "With the FAI as the disease !"
And now they'll keep things farcical.
Why do they keep things farcical ?
On the unbelievable, sadly disfunctional, incompetent one-and all, feckin' painful !!
This - is - what - we - call - The Delaney - SHOOWWWWWWWW !

Well here's a chant for all clubs to sing at least once a game next season. With both sets of fans singing it at once, it would send a message! Imagine the blazers' reactions!
In an annoying geordie accent...
"Who will be evicted from the BB league this week?...."
seems to work over the water for an equally farcical ball of sh!te.
Bit of topic but.......Remember when we played Bray in the Cup Final in '99, it went to a 2nd replay. The FAI brought it forward from the original date meaning we had to travel from Donegal three times in little over a week. Why? Wait for it.........because the 2nd replay orginally clashed with the FA Cup Final and the blazers would have missed their little annual trip.
I made a big banner with 'ENJOY WEMBLEY LITTLE HITLERS' painted across it. When we unfurled it during the game, facing the TV cameras, they sent security across to us and into the crowd to get it. We just passed it back among our fans but they were seething. The TV cameras also picked up half the crowd chanting FAI GREEDY BAS**RDS! throughout the game.
It didn't change anything, but we shouldn't make it easy for them either. There should be some type of protest at every televised game this year and also one at every match that Shels play should get away with this.

From Pyongyang to Merrion Square: the new axis of evil
Article 9 of the Constitution of Ireland (Bunreacht Na hEireann) provides for:
The right of free expression of opinion as well as the right to assemble peaceably and without arms, and to form associations or unions is guaranteed for purposes not opposed to public morality. Laws regulating the manner in which the right of forming associations and the right of free assembly may be exercised shall contain no political, religious or class distinction.
