Just a general question to all Limerick FC fans...will ye support this new team? Are ye classing this as still Limerick FC just with a different name or classing it as a new team altogether?
Yes I will be supporting Limerick 37 and see it as a continuation of Senior football in the city which started in 1937 !

I can't see why anyone here would NOT support Limerick37.
JRM Sports Ltd/Limerick FC was the private property of Danny Drew and his partner.
Limerick37 is controlled by virtually all the footballing interests in Limerick.
So, if anything, it should be easier for any long-standing football supporter in Limerick (as well as any new ones) to get behind the new club, as they should feel closer to its organisational structure (hopefully). I would prefer if the supporters were better represented in the new club, but given the lack of organisation among the supporters, it's not surprising that Soccer Limerick decided they had to go ahead with their plans without us. It may be possible to rectify this situation in the future.*
[* The supporters will have one non-voting representative on the board, elected by and accountable to the supporters, subject to approval by the rest of the board of the mechanism for election.
For a voting position on the board, you must own 100+ shares, which at the moment would cost €25,000.]

Yes, I will indeed support Limerick 37. I do not see it as Limerick FC under a different name because it isn't. As gombean has said above one is a private company owned by an individual that still exists, the other is a shareholding company owned by footballing interests and investors.

I dont think the SC was high on the agenda of persons comming into save senior soccer from disappearing , we kinda didnt exist last year so again this year it will be all systems go again. as for the 25Gs needed for a vote, forget it, most of the shares are already gone so we'll move on. Make sure your involved with the SC though Gombean as you have good ideas. PM LTID for next meeting place

Has the SC become a secret society?
Surely general meetings of the supporters' club should be in the public domain!
If it's a committee meeting, each committee member should be notified directly: I believe you have all the contact details from the last meeting.

There is a delegate meeting on tonight at the Janesboro club at 9pm.
On the agenda will be a vote to back the LDMC decision to allow the use of Jackman pk for Limerick 37.

Only if they pay on the way in.;)
Seriously, I've brought this up on this forum before, as a possible reason that Limerick people who came once to Rathbane didnt come again. I was pretty much shot down on that one.
But I do think that they are not good for the image of the club, and I'd like to see something done. Not sure what that could be though.
