Limerick 37 granted league licence
Friday, 9 February 2007 14:17
Limerick 37 has been awarded an eircom League First Division Licence for the 2007 season by the FAI's First Instance Committee following a successful application.
Their licence will be formally ratified by the First Instance Committee at their next meeting on 19 February.
Limerick 37's successful application means that 22 clubs are now licensed to take part in the Eircom League of Ireland this season.
Eircom League of Ireland Director Fran Gavin said: 'We are delighted that there will be an ongoing senior soccer presence in Limerick. Those involved with Limerick 37 represent all strands of the game so there will be plenty of interaction between the club and the rest of the football community in the Limerick area.'

Man, get over it!
Best of luck to Ger and all involved in Limerick 37( I refuse to call it L37). This City has a long and proud history in both Junior and Senior Soccer and its great that this will be carried on.

Congratulations and well done to everyone involved with Limerick 37 for doing tremendous work in such a short space of time to ensure that the long history of Limerick senior football remains. I hope the football people of Limerick can put aside their football differences and get behind Limerick 37 and help to build a club everyone can be proud of. Obtaining the licence just shows what can be done if people can see the big picture and focus on the long term gains that can be attained to the benefit of all football players and supporters.

did you grit your teeth as you said that did you? starts with a good luck, then gets negitive with comment on ruining junior soccer followed by a threat to kick Limerick out. And your right the clubs do own Jackman park but remember and ive said it to you many a time, it stays as it is unless Limerick are in there. Now lets see it get develped...together.

Congrats to Limerick 37, would have been a tragedy to have no Limerick presence in the league. Looking forward to renewing old rivalries now, provided we're not bumped which I half hope we're not. Well done particularly to all involved in getting it done so quickly.
On a facetious note, it reminds me of an Armstrong & Miller sketch for anyone that remembers them: Two business types outlining a new venture, naming all of the people who'll be involved, and eventually one says "so, basically, it's going to be the same company, just without Steve?" "Without Steve, yeah".
"So basically it's going to be the same club, just without Danny?" "Without Danny, yeah". :D *
* I know this is not the case. It's a joke. :)

Hi Kerry
at the end of the week
Cool!
But watch out oldkeeper - once it gets to Friday you'll have fellas on here jumping up and down saying "The club is a disgrace - they promised a kit by Friday - more lies, waaah, waaah, waaah!":)
