What we wouldn’t give for a Brady or a Sheedy, a Moran or McGrath or someone who can simply score a goal without running 30 yards to the corner flag, doing a cartwheel and firing an imaginary gun into the crowd.

Would leave out the two Keano’s

can't leave out either Keane imo

Ronnie Whelan should be in there ... instead of Duff

Johnny Giles out on the wing?? Would certainly have Frank Staptleton in ahead of Aldridge as well.

would have dunne in for Lawrenson. mcgrath and moran in the middle. Ray Houghton out right (energy and effort over Liam brady's skill) Roy keane and johnny giles in the middle. tony galvin instead of duff. and would have to put stapleton up top with Robbie feeding off him.

Tony Galvin ahead of Duff? No way.

Would agree with Galvin for Duff. But Dunne for Lawrenson? And leaving Brady out?

Team looks good to me apart from the inclusion Aldridge, I would replace him with Niall Quinn. Quinn has scored many important goals down the years but his influence and importance outweigh any other striker apart from Stapleton in the past 30 years. Sorry Robbie...

Kevin Moran left back?? Don't ever remeber him ever playing there. Chris Hughton and Steve Staunton would have been the best two left backs over that period.
