View Full Version : Delaney on Today Fm......
Nothing to do with Dundalk
Another reason to hate Delaney.
On RTE radio, he repeatedly said "My understanding, is that it was a Dundalk protest" - which is another way of saying "I've just made that up because it suits me better."
Not just incompetent - but also a barefaced liar.
There is a second banner which unfortunately didn't make it over to San Marino...

That probably would have been blamed on Limerick FC
I'm glad to see that Delaney is getting the flak he deserves, and that the media (in general at any rate) haven't fallen into the trap of simply concentrating on the manager. Staunton is clearly clueless, but it's not his fault he was given the job. Anyone with half a brain could see when he was appointed how it would work out. What makes my blood boil is how Brian Kerr was spun against by Delaney (eagerly helped out by the media lets not forget) and then replaced with this set up. (World Class Management Team my elbow) Mind you, I had a right good laugh when San Marino equalised the other night. If it wasn't for the bloody ref doing a Gerry Perry on the clock(Shels and Pats fans will know what I mean) they would have got a deserved point. I hope Wales and Slovakia come to Croker and win handsomely.

Today's MoS and Sunday World put people right on who was responsible for the banner.

Doesn't really matter who was responsible for the banner, the important thing is not to let the Laney away with blaming it on marginalised lunatics in an attempt to discredit future protests.

Away Ireland games offer a real protest opportunity re Delaney that is heavily supressed at home international games.
They should be taken advantage of - particularly in smaller stadiums/smaller nations where security arrangements and the desire to remove banners are less than at larger, better organised venues.
I look forward to seeing more such banners/protests in future. Though anyone organising them would do well not to talk about them on here or other public forums.
P.S. Hello to the FAI snoops who Delaney has undoubtedly got keeping an eye on sites and threads like this.... :ball:

Yes indeed - greetings to Delaneys puppets! You obviously have plenty of time for this internet lark, because you do feck all else!
Snoops or not, if enough banners appear at the Wales game then they won't be able to stop it.
And they certainly can't stop chanting.......
