Glad somebody else noticed that as well - talk about ignorance

surely the author would know something about the league to write the article - or at least be literate and do the customary 2 second research required to know which leagues who was in

Would imagine the caption was put their by a sub editor who didn't know anything about football.

wouldnt happen if it was picture of an english premiership player

anyway the point im trying to make is this happens wholesale in the irish times - they never have the tables up to date or the fixtures right - for the eircom league

I'm only joking.....I agree, the coverage of the league in Irish papers is abysmal. The Sunday turbine never have any coverage, sometimes they print the table, but never a match report. But no doubt the weekend papers will be full of stories on Shels woes.

This is the worst thing that has happened to the league this week. I sincerely hope John Delaney ('Disgusted of Merrion Square') is penning an angry memo as we speak. Despicable!

Not as bad as the Examiner a few weeks ago who had
a big picture of Barry Ferguson (ex-Bohs) instead of his Rangers namesake.

sugrue, a tralee native, is currently back plying his trade in his hometown with tralee dynamos and the kerry u-21s(despite being 23ish). a promising youngster whose celebrity had waned somewhat until a dramatic reappearance in the national media has catapulted his name back into the limelight...
