Brush is dodgy on crosses, never leaves his line. Hopefully the Aussie is O Hara in disguise. Mentions on the website he has played in Australia and Serbia but not the actual sides he has played for.

to be fair to brush he didnt get much of a look in last year. but i thought he was a good upcoming keeper. he seemed to command his area pretty well.

o'hara is an excellent shot stopper, some saves he made were simply amazing, but when did he ever come off his line. o'hara didnt command his area in the air and always stood on the line. an excellent keeper in terms of shot stopping, but cant see why ur saying brush is dodgy on crosses when o'hara wasnt great at it.

i'd be fine with having brush as #1 this year. hopefully the new keeper will have a good all round game. both keepers have much to live upto in terms of replacing o'hara.

I can see why some of ye are worried now , perhaps Rob is underestimating the standard that the Premier is at nowadays:(

i dont know...the english guy talks the talk....also an aussie u20 keeper cant be too bad can he?

I don'y know about underestimating Mcdonald but does look good to me, does'nt make sense letting some of our lads go and bring in a guy from halifax, and an other from some average college team in the states, neither of who have a decent cv in my eyes- i played a better standard of football than the keeper i wonder should i give him McD a ring

Letting Conor O'Grady go is making less and less sense each day. I would have assumed that he was being let go because McDonald felt he had better players coming in but what we have seen so far looks like junior footballers and fellas fulfilling dreams to be professional footballers.
I see serious relegation battles ahead.

O Hara could read the game well, knows when to stay and when to commit to a cross. I remember when Brush replaced O Hara for the cup replay against Derry, the first goal came from a curling cross inside the six yard area just the kind of ball your goalie should be dealing with. Also against Shels in the rearranged game their first goal game from a corner he should of came out and collected. He is the type of keeper that makes your defence nervous actually I would rate Brush better than O Hara as a shot stopper, his reflexes are top class.

According to The Star this morning 26.01.07 ' Bohemians have pulled the plug on their move for Chirs Turner - but manager Sean Connor insisted it was not because of the Northern Ireland Under-21 midfielders weekend arrest.
And Connor remained hopeful yesterday that they could yet land the Sligo Rovers man before the close of the transfer window'.

Connor is playing games not going to meet the asking price. This is what he is good at, knows all the bullsh it Turner will get around the town.

ur right about the examples you said there, but a keeper with a run of games behind him would deal with such things easier than a keeper out of first team practice. i'd still disagree with o'hara in terms of crossing but hey that's football and we each have our own opinions. :) we've two keeper's in squad now so that's sorted and we need a good few more outfield players at this stage.

connor prob try leave it to the last minute to see if rovers cave. from other posts seems turner is on for going, so seems just a fee to sort. hopefully rovers wont back down but cud be difficult situation if players does want to go. what to do ?

We will have to wait and see. Its results on the Pitch that will show wether Rob is up to it or not. Lots of the players that come to the Northwest are unheard of. You get the best you can for the money you have. Some so called Good Players have come here and been very poor. Just hope Rob isnt panic buying to bring up the numbers.

Singh training with Bohs, Rumour is Turner will go to Bohs for free, and the club has not followed up on getting compensation for Connor going to Bohs, Professioinal club run by amatures?

If that is true, serious questions have to be asked! thats just throwing away money, which in this league, is badly needed by everyone. They should be trying to get as much as possible out of bohs who have been boasting about the large wind fall they are getting.

Better than a professional club run on rumours.

it was rumour i heard but it does sound hard to believe....connor saying they cant agree a fee does sort of quash it now though!

lets get things clear here. firstly the hasty departure of connors (breaking his contract) the club solicitors are currently going for compensation. turner will not go free
and sign s situation is being investigated.

What are these chaps likely to be on in terms of wages? I assume it would have to be at least €300 a week to be worth going full time. You'd probably pay less for a better player like O'Grady. I don't understand this attitude of full time for full time's sake. A talented player training several times a week part time is going to still be better than an average or poor player training full time.

Well supposedly Singh was on over €1,000 worth a week full time last season

can't see what would attract him to Sligo either. Is it just me or does McDonald seem to lack corisma? I dont think he would capture a possible players attention when persuading someone to come and play football in Sligo.

I’ve heard Tomislav is friendly with Adam Hughes, are you familiar with Adams play? He was well within his comfort zone at this level last season. I know it’s a silly kind of comparison, But its something.
