Jimmy Fyffe - One of my favourite players but he was crap, totally at fault for the third and fifth goals and at least partially to blame for the first. - 4/10
Mike Kerley - Started well enough but didnt get forward a lot and seemed to lose touch with the game as it wore on. - 6/10
Paddy Purcell - Badly out of sorts, a schoolboy lunge cost us a goal and didn't seem anywhere near as composed as usual. - 5/10
Paul Finucane - Like Fyffe, had his worst game in a Limerick shirt. The normally peerless Finucane was miles off the pace and looked nervous throughout. - 4/10
Eoin Poill - Not superb by any stretch but kept his head down and did the basics well. - 6/10
Shane o'Donoghue - Anonymous after the first five minutes. Pulled out a couple of crucial tackles and couldn't seem to get up to the speed of the game at all. - 4/10
Bendan Hughes - Worked tirelessly throughout and accordingly seemed to tire late-on but his box-to-box running and goal brought Limerick back into the game. - 7/10
Oran Welderick - Another who can't be faulted for commitment and effort. That Limerick largely matched Harps in the middle of the park was largely down to Welderick's industry. Looked a bit out of place up-front but never stopped running. - 7/10
Ciaran Foley - Turned in a good performance out wide on the left, passing the ball about well and taking people on. One of the few who is totally blameless. - 7/10
Stephen O'Flynn - Showed some great touches and control in abysmal conditions but tended to over-do it when a simple pass would have been best. - 6/10
Barry Ryan - Never stamped his mark on the game. Looked out of his depth to be frank.
Subs:
Anton Mannering - Worked his socks off when he came on and should start ahead of Barry Ryan in future. - 6/10
Brian Donnellan - Looked impresive when he came on, taking on players and making more of an impression in his 25 minutes than Shane O'Donoghue had managed in the previous 65. - 7/10
Eoin Keating - Not on long enough to rate.
Hugely disappointing performance that is going to make it much, much harder to reach the play-offs. A 5-2 home defeat is nothing to boast of but a comedy off errors at the back yesterday meant that we really deserved nothing more...
