Any chance of confirming the few signings that have been rumoured. People keep asking me have we signed anyone to which my answer remains NO!??

i heard from one of the sligo rovers lads that subscribe to this forum that the conor o grady deal is off! he was speaking to Sean Flannery and O Grady told Flannery that he wasnt coming due to the uncertainty with Alan Matthews.
if thats the case this is a severe blow after losing Mctiernan.
another disappointment.:o who next?

As of a few days ago he was still coming and a few more along with him, once a few things are finalised. The players are back training this weekend. I dont think Alan Mathews will be going anywhere. The next few days will tell a tale. McTiernan is by all accounts on a sweet deal in Athlone, certainly more than he'd be offered with us if reports from Athlone are accurate

just lookin at the longford leader today. o grady is definitely cumin to us! alan murphy has left the club as he is not in a position to commit to part time football. he wont be missed thats for sure.
i assume that crawford a1nd chambers will come now considerin the situation with shels is gettin worse

Murph is thinking of dropping down to non-league football apparently, he has a young child and doesnt want to train three nights a week plus matches. Conor O'Grady is coming alright. He hasnt put pen to paper yet but will do so at the weekend seemingly. He's training with us already. Crawford is still hanging on to see what Shels are going to do apparently. Chambers is likely to sign shortly, perhaps this weekend along with another former Shels player, Deegan I think was the name I heard. David Lee who played with Monaghan last year is supposedly joining too, so the Sunday Indo said anyhow, they said he had signed already. We shall see I suppose.

Why did we have this guy training with us without signing? Should we not have signed him first and then have him train? It doesn't make sense but then again that shouldn't be surprising.........

First O'Grady. Now Paisley. Let's hope we get a result tonight. Amongst all the doom and gloom, heres an incentive. Beat Pats 2-0 and we'll be top of the league! hows that for optimism. :)
