Been away for the Christmas. Just read the Limerick37 news. All looks very positive, although Connie as an assistant manager?? He's pretty friendly with Jaws Ryan...dear God no....please !!
Anyway, do Limerick37 have this in the bag. I thought applications were being accepted up to last Monday, and a decision made sometime after? If this is the case, do ye not all think ye could be getting ye're knickers in a knot over nowt??
If there has been a development that I'm not aware of, Old Keeper can you let me know?

I think Danny Drew has got an injunction sorted against any new
licences being handed out (affecting L37 and Wexford) until the
Limerick FC issues are sorted with the FAI.
Edit: Post here about it already

To date, I have heard that it is not yet approved, and quite far from being. The local clubs are not all 100% behind this, and I personally don't see how the LDMC could possibly sanction this thing properly when there is currently a vote of no confidence in the current committee and a new one being sorted out.
5 locals have been interviewed for the job; Noel O'Connor, Mike Kerley, Tommy Lynch, Aidan Ryan and Ray O'Halloran and the majority of them have misgivings about money, ie where's the money coming from?
So, where is the money coming from? Not from the junior or schoolboy or ladies clubs. There would want to be one hell of a big backer or else the independent committee reviewing applications is going to laugh this one out the door straight away.
Players are another issue. The mass exodus will continue. McCarthy, Lester, O'Neill, Cooney gone that I know of, and there's no hope of holding on to the likes of Purcell, Barrett, Heffernan and Finnucane if someone comes in for them.
Rather ironic that the LDMC /Clubs own 18 month rule might come back and bite themselves in the ass.
I don't mean to play devils advocate here. But as a longtime fan I'm sick of false dawns and new beginnings and basic bullsh it.
I just hope that this is not another one.

Soccer Limerick issued a statement that they had a meeting and got the green light to proceed with the application. The LDMC are only one cog in this wheel.

Whoever takes the job will have to operate on a shoestring...but perhaps they should place importance of the survival of senior soccer in Limerick ahead of personal financial gain for a while. If anybody is in this for the money at this stage, they shouldn't really be there imo.

I just hope that this is not another one. I see where your concerns are coming from. Lets hope there is some transparency soon.

Didn't L37 say in a recent statement that they were inviting any other applicants/interested parties/investors in having a senior club in Limerick to come on board with Soccer Limerick's application? Sounded to me like L37's structure got the backing, but the money may not necessarily be there, thus the invitation.....

I heard that there were two premiership managers in Limerick!!!!!!!
I heard, You heard, We heard !!!! lets not get negative, give the interim board a chance they have a fair process and will see it right to the point where the right manager is selected. Rumours are just that and Limerick is the capital of sport and rumours.

The LDMC vote was unanimous to move forward and then seek approval from the clubs. The Junior clubs in Limerick will have to approve the structures as will the Schoolboys/girls and the Ladies. However the overall package is such that there will be a huge benefit for the clubs at all levels. Your comments re the Vote of no confidence in the chairman and the administration of the league are valid but one must remember that the clubs in Limerick have soccer as their primary interest and will not allow any personalities to interfere with any proposals that are for the greater good. Any other issues will still need to be dealt with and will be dealt with by the clubs

Your not correct in this statement, also Money has been the root cause of many problems in Limerick Senior soccer, the Limerick 37 FC club will have a financial structure that will ensure the club will be stable and will be in a position to field a team capable of challenging
Single Big Backers are the problem in Football and unless all clubs become financially stable they will always be at the mercy of the "Big Financial Backers"
Players are free to sign with whomever they please. We are confident that our Squad will be populated with players of a very high standard and will be effective on the field of Play
The LDMC has NO 18 month rule! this is an FAI rule that applies to all clubs in the country
It's good to play the DA but this is a serious measure to address the issues that have dogged Senior soccer not only in Limerick but also in many other locations.
It's not
