Ronaldo, Giggs, Drogba, Fabregas, Scholes

As for Youth Players, Fabregas and Richards have stood out this season

matthew taylor(portsmouth), not alone for his amazing goals(highlights of my season so far) but his general play as both LB and LM have been very impressive..obviously he could never win player of the year but an honourable mention is fully deserved

Much as I hate the mancs, I would have to give it to Scholes, he has been outstanding. Would hate an award of this nature to be given to Ronaldo as he is a dirty little cheat and linking him to awards like this only advocates cheating.

Also Ronaldo still goes missing in the big games, wait and see how he gets on against Arsenal this weekend.

i agree
also if you take Scholes out of the team, manure are not that decent, re the bizarre decision of ferguson to sub him off against arsenal....result then after ronaldo gives them the ball in the centre of the field and they score, they had so much room in the centre after scholes was off, the worst decision i have seen ferguson do in a long time

I would give it to Scholes with Drogba and Ronaldo as 2nd and 3rd with Essien 4th Fabregas 5th and Doyle 6th.

should be an interserting weekend ahead! the 'top 4' all going head to head! arsenal really starting to play a bit now aswell! liverpool still a bit inconsisitent! chelsea have yet to hit their peak this year and im sure the time will come where they will.....just up to united really to maintain their good form! considering goal difference aswell united you could say are 7 points ahead!?

Essien. By a mile IMO

My sentiments exactly. He's holding Chelsea together at the moment and has been man of the match in every game I've seen him in.....whether he's playing centre mid, right back or now at centre half.

He was also sublime in the World Cup. Pity he was suspended against
Brazil or it might have been a totally different story.

Essien, Drogba, Ronaldo, Scholes and Fabregas should make up the short list, with Drogba winning the Player of the season so far, and Fabregas taking the Young Player

Paul Scholes he just gets the job done without any diving about, trying to be flashy or bitching to the ref about every little decision that goes against him.

Scholes for me, Drogba second, Cesc third.

Good season all round even if it's broken up into 3 different mini leagues.

Tim Cahill before his injury.

Montella could be there at the end of the season.
