Will Limerick FC ever return?

Limerick 37 are seemingly heading for the eL, and possibly taking a few of Limerick FC players, and, from what most fans have said here, a chunk of the Limerick FC supporters as well.

That being the case, even if Limerick FC still exist as an entity, what are the chances of them ever getting back into the eL?

I reckon as much as it would irk me I'd follow F.C. Although it's all moot, as the current chairman hasn't a hope of being allowed run a club in the league. 37 is the natural continuation.

What right do Soccer Limerick have in calling the new entity Limerick 37.
Thats the year of the original club, which has nothing to do with them at all.
Limerick 07 might be more appropiate.
I want lim 37 to do well as they will repersent my town in senior football.
I still believe there is a club called Limerick FC and they should be allowed into the El at some stage in the future.

Its nothing to do with the recently deceased club either has it? Wasn't this club only set up in early 80s?

I dunno this is a massive leap now so bear with me but maybe the current LOI representative in the town could could possibly relate to and draw its heritage from the origional LOI representatives :rolleyes:

Remember it's an FAI/Danny Drew debacle shafting Limerick F.C. not the fault of the new guys
