Limerick37 is the new club name :ball:
I thought this was a joke, but it's been verified by RTE. A peculiar choice of name really - but better a club with a strange name than no club at all.
Best of luck to the 37 :) :ball:

I don't think they were able to use the name Limerick United because of legal problems. It would have taken too long to sort these out as Soccer Limerick had to have the club's name in place in the license application.
Soccer Limerick have handed the running
of the new club over to an interim
board and will be called 'Limerick 37'.
The club, applying for an Eircom league
first division license, chose 37 as it
was the year that the first senior club
began playing from Limerick.
Interviews for the position of manager
will take place over the weekend, there
is great interest in the position and
the selection will be a difficult one
based on the quality of all the names
associated with the position.

Why didn't they go for Treaty City FC? John's Castle FC.? Shannon Metropolis FC? Oh well Limerick 37 it is then . Has a ring to it come to think of it.
Now there is a coffee company which makes a blend called 37. Possible sponsors anyone? After all you can have a pint of Coffee and still drive home safely :D

Cause all of the above are rubbish names! :)
"Limerick" is in the title and we're playing in blue, what else could you ask for?

What happens now to Limerick FC headed by Drew? Will they join up with Limerick37 or cease to exist making Limerick37 a new entity.

Errortel are going to have fun..............
Limerick 370 Dundalk 2
Maybe Limerick think this new name will trick people into thinking they are winning every week (and scoring an impressive minimum of 370 goals per game). Thus attracting every man and his dog to Estadio Del Jackman.

Lived there for 3 years. Anyway, you wouldn't have to visit the place to get a feel for it. All you have to do is read the publicity the place gets in the papers.
BTW. Satellite ( note the spelling) town or not, theres a lot less wrong about Dublin.
