Drogs are a steal at 5/1. What an excellent bet. Pretty sure I would say.

You can get 12/1 with Hills. Hills odds compilers are rubbish for Irish soccer. They had Derry at 11/2 to beat Gretna

Corals. (since cut)

the Irish markets don't automatically fill up in the odds checking sites - its worth shopping around first before you trust oddschecker/bestbetting et al when it comes to the new league outrights

Pats readily available at 33s a couple of days ago

I would offer 150/1 on St Pats. I think they will be in the bottom half of the league.

My €50, which will become €250, says otherwise.

Care to offer a price on Pats to finish in the top half of the league? We can set up a little escrow account for the funds.

Too fn busy telling everyone that Drogheda were great value at 4/1 with Power to do the business myself until I had to settle for 10/3 with ladbrokes. Still happy that it's a great bet.

They are still 5/1 with Coral this morning.....shop around man!

Also 33/1 Pats and 14/1 Bohs. All 3 teams should be backed each way at those prices.

Pats have a crap manager. No way will they make top 3. Not a chance in hell. Bohs will be 4th. Derry, Cork and Drogs will be top 3. If you are telling me St Pats are better than any of those 3, never mind Bohs and Sligo, you must be joking.

Any odds on Shels to be relegated.?

I'd have Pats ahead of Cork. Easily, and I'm the most negative Pats fan there is. Bohs squad is ruibbish, and what decent players have Sligo left?

Pat's ahead of Cork?
Hard to know but Bennett seemingly gone, O'Flynn perenially crocked and Georgie and Fenn gone.. They need to hold onto R O'D badly and if they bring in a couple of players they'll be ok... still have the best midfielder/player in the league..
I've my biggest bet of all time on Drogheda each-way at 7s and also backed Pat's at 33s when I heard from an unreliable (;)) source that Jason Byrne was in talks with them... regardless, they're not 33-1 shots and I assume they'll make a few more signings.
One final thing: watch out for how the UK firms price up the First Division. Oblivious to the transfer news, there is practically certain to be one particular team way too big in the betting.

That prediction is fairly DODGE if you ask me. :p
