Best of luck to Dowdy for success and an injury free time in Athlone.. He came back from injury and had a great season with us. I was very sorry to see him go. His hat trick in Limerick will be in the record books for years to come. He always seemed to be eager and enthusiastic on the pitch. Supporters need to see that, so I think the Athlone faithful will be rewarded with some hard working displays and plenty of goals.

Yeah, best of luck to dowdy, still think he was very unlucky not to have been offered a contract.

What a loss to Galway United.
Our late excellent push for automatic promotion was very much linked to a consistent run in the team for David and his stellar performances.
Hope our new signings show as much dedication, enthusiasm and work rate as David and I hope our retained strikers can also raise their levels to David's work rate.
In my opinion, he is the biggest loss of any player to have left in the close season.
I wish him the best of luck and hope he scores bucket loads next season
In my view, he'd have struggled to score 5 goals in the Premier Division
But at least he showed the attitude lacking in Murph, who is capable of scoring 25 goals in the Premier Division.

is that a joke?He trys hard but just doesnt have what it takes to cut it.
Back with McT at Athlone now, they will be the hardest working front pair in the country.
BTW,what about Raf?not a big loss?

Raf is a small loss:rolleyes:
Yeah The Stars, Raf was brilliant last season for us and was a real fans' favourite. Our loss is Sligo's gain.
Look after him this time and don't let him go so easily again because if you do, we won't let him go next time.
I would put cretaro, gough, gethins just to name a few ahead of O'Dowd.
You expect goals from strikers and I feel that O'Flynn will provide more this year than if we kept O'Dowd.
