Average wages - in the lower tier of the Premier Division range from €400-€700 per week - clear of taxes (a net figure). Further up the food chain the figures get silly, heading up to €2K per week for the top of the pyramid.

Sligo's budget was in the top 6 last season. ONly Cork, Drogs, Derry, Shels and Bohs ahead of it.

I hear that Foy was on a basic 800 a week + good bonuses

he's worth it... unfortunetly it was a mistake that the bonuses were trips down to the 4 lights

the budget at start of last season was €12k a week for squad. add in choice, cash and harpal during july and i'd say it was bout €15k. harpal's supposed to be on €1100.

Our chairman told us all about the budget last year. He ranked us below yourselves.

In fairness, what we used to do with the procuring of players from abroad was quite irritating. There was no one else I suppose, though.

In fairness what would your chairman know about our budget?

Its a very very small league. All the chairmen know the budgets of all the other clusb. All the managers know of every club.

wonder what the likes of o'grady and mcnamara were on seeing as they turned down the chance to go full time because of their jobs....although im sure its not a case of money in fairness to them!

he'd wana sort himself out quick....throwing away all his football ability! could be the best left full in the league if he put his mind to it

I dont think Rob will be as soft on him as Sean was.If he doesnt shed some pounds he wont be around for too much longer.

Sean Kelly should provide some competition for left back this year, what with going full time and definitely has the right attitude, very dedicated.

Its Sligo's council fault for opening a casino....

Its not that funny the man is a professional football , so he should be fit as a minimum requirement , fair enough it was the off season so hopefully he can get back to something approaching fitness

don't think the casino is owned by the town council, don't think they add weight to pro footballers either, just help them get rid of their money...
