Lows

My hospitalisation and subsequent illness earlier in 2006

The way the whole Ireland thing unravelled spectacularly

Losing a much-liked and respected member of a family of a refereeing colleague to cancer in September - a superb turnout of people at the funeral - and a fitting send off for the bloke - one of the most emotional funerals I've been to though

Was waiting for a reaction to that. Loved Matterazzi when he was with Everton and have kept an interested eye on his career ever since. I remember his first interview for the Evertonian after he signed. When asked what he hoped to achieve at the club he said "I want to be the protagonist".
I was also a big fan of Slaven Bilic. See a trend starting to emerge? :D

It's Ok to be neo-Nazi so long as your a nut-job ex Everton centre half who gets sent off at least a dozen times  :p

I was thinking more along the lines of taking headbuts from French players in world cups. And yes, being an ex-Everton nutjob helps. Don't think Bilic is a Neo Nazi now is he?
