TEAM BUILDING
Monaghan United Manager Mick Cooke and the Director of Footballing Policy John Heffernan have been working hard in the last few weeks to pull together the team for the upcoming season. There will be a strong local flavour to the team with a lot of the young local talent that has come through the club, getting their places on the first team. Last season at least 11 young lads for the locality played on the senior team and it is hoped that many of these will now be fit to step up the senior panel full time.

It is hoped that pre-season training will start towards the end of January and that a full team will be announced in the weeks prior to this. Keep an eye on press and website for updates.

LADIES PRE-SEASON TRAINING
Monaghan United Ladies will be back in pre-season training from the 28th January and anyone who is interested in playing for this highly successful team are invited to come along to Century Homes Park on the day. Contact Liam on 087 4172357.

WINTER CAMP 2006
This was the first year that Monaghan United FC ran a Winter Camp and we are delighted that it was such a success. Forty children participated in the 3 day training sessions and it was apparent from the sounds of enjoyment that every child had a great few days.

Monaghan United FC would like to thank our newly appointed UEFA Qualified Club Coach, Thomas Heffernan for his efforts in ensuring the smooth running of the camp together with his assistants, Paul Smyth and Paul Whelan. These coaches worked hard to provide the children with expert training and made it as fun as possible.

Monaghan United FC will be running their 3rd Annual Summer Camp from Monday the 2nd July to Friday the 6th July 2007 and we hope to have your children participate in what is fun filled week of football.

MINI LEAGUES
The Monaghan Credit Union Mini Leagues will be resuming on Sunday 21st January at usual times. All registered children should attend at their normal time.

It is hoped that in early February we will be taking the children for a day out at the JJB Soccer Dome in Dundalk. This should a good day out for the children and only registered members of the Mini Leagues will be allowed to attend.

Monaghan United FC would like to wish you a Happy and Peaceful New Year and hope to see all members supporting our senior team when the new season begins in March.
