View Full Version : Echo tonight..
Back page: Lennox says trouble will be stamped out.
John mcHale: "LM has 10 matches to save his job".
Good article, which says what needed to be said publicly for a long time. The first real sign that the game may be up for the Gunther.
He also thinks Rico is the man......
Spillane has LM saying that Alan Carey was unlucky to be dropped, it could have been any of four players..So why not Daly?
Lm still seemed to be happy enough with last Saturday.
I have to say thought that on the multi, the highlights made it look like a great game. They got a really good 25 minutes out of the 94...........
Were You happy with saturday night Oddboy?
Was I happy with Saturday night?
Id say NO and No again. That fool will never take any flak for poor performance etc.
As for the "Murphy has 10 games", how very tabloid. With any luck it will start a witch hunt a la the english papers over certain managers.
Your days are numbered Liam. Bye bye, good riddance, F*** off, you will not be missed.
it´s a good sign at least that there is now pressure on murphy from the press, and I very much doubt that anything about city would appear in the echo without approval at some level from the club- or at least some serious information. IMO, this is he club dfiring a shot across Murphy´s bows. I think we´re seeing the beginning of the end of gunthers reign of terror :)

Why not? If it starts to highlight his inadequacies as a manager, keep it up, I say..
Thats what i meant. the fool should be hounded out asap.

He´s perfectly capable of doing that by himself every time the grumpy pr¡ck shows his face
The McHale fella really ripped into Gunther, saying what we have all been saying for ages, that he is a tactically inept twit.
Also about the Shed, its kinda innaccurate, in that it says that the stewards acted in a positive manner. Correct it at

I dont recall there ever being a outright condemnation of a city manager by the echo before. His tactics, his team selections etc.
It what we have all known for well over a year now and its good to see it in the press.

Ken 'Connor had another go at "the management" in last nights (Thursday) Echo.
So thats two articles which were extremely critical of LM in 3 days.
Can anyone remember this sort of "attack" before?
As yet, I haven't heard BL or anyone else at the club rush to his defence.
I really feel that the end is nigh, because if this continues, LM will walk away himself. He is completely unable to take any sort of criticism, so how will he deal with the Echo from now on?
Of course, Spillane was very careful not to say anything at all.
The most bland "reporter" in Ireland?....;)
I haven't seen the Echo for a long time but didn't the club recently give it some award for its reporting on city so far this season?
Don't city have a close relationship with the club where they feed them info for stories & the like?
While i'm not suggesting the club leaking info on LM, wouldn't you think the club would defend their manager if they had such a close relationship?
you think noel spillane is bad could someone tell me how billy george is consdiered "one of the best soccer reporters in the country". as for his idiot son........
