Senior Player: I can't see how Damien could win this award, a poor year for him. Nor indeed Doyle with a handful of caps. For the first time in years no outfield player can make even a reasonably compelling case - just goes to show what a bad year it has been for Irish foot.ie.

Dick Dunne should have been in the running, don't know how Duff even got nominated..

Doyle for young player.

tbf, if it's judged on internaional performances (which I assume it is?) Duff has as much right to be there as anyone really.

I agree Dunne for me - with no midfield in most games he (& his defensive colleagues) has had to do an awful lot of defending.

gotta be shay...duff's done ok but doesn't deserve it...doyles hasn't played enough...
