Was watching the panel last night.
While they were quickly running thru the topics of the week that they didnt have time to discuss they mentioned 'that eejit that went into the fai'.
They argued that it would be fair punishment for the fella to give him a match. Punishment that fits the crime.
Pauline McGlynn then interjected ...
''The reason that guy got so upset was because his team, Dundalk didnt get into the premier league... and Galway did. Now what i would say to him was... NAA NAA NAA NAA NAA NAA .''
FAIR PLAY TO HER! STICKIN UP FOR HER OWN!

What's that got to do with anything?
She's a tw*t, regardless of where she's from.

AFAIK Pauline is a native of Sligo, despite having spent most of young life in Renmore.
Fair play to her for giving us a plug. I've never seen her in Terryland.
Tommy Tiernan used to be a regular before he got really famous didn't he?
Yeah Tommy used to go alright, saw him at a fair few games and we were no great shakes at the time to say the least.

she has often been in terryland, her brother is a regular visitor and a good supporter of GUFC. Never heard of her links to sligo, her brother never mentioned them anyway !
Would anyone like to speculate what our average crowd will be next season?
I'm gonna say 2,000. I was reading in the Times Sunday that Noel Mooney was on about getting the aggregate weekly attendances up to 30,000. It was to my mind an absurdly optimistic target but to be fair he didn't mention a timeframe.

It's too early guess what kind of crowds we will be getting but we should at least be averaging 2000 if we are going well that could rise to 3000+. We'll have to see what kind of signings we make. If we have a competive side Galway people will come up to Terryland if we are struggling they will stay home.
Considering the crowds we got for two Div 1 games, 3,000 would be easily attainable if we're doing quite well. Of course, the club is promoted so well now that it makes it much more feasible for big crowds.
Having said that, we need to sign some players first before we start any optimistic talk. I hear Philip Hughes is staying at Dundalk.

you know yourself JW its all down to the run of form that we have. If we can get off to a good start to the season (with someone, anyone decent joining us) we'll easily get the average up and over 2000, if we are ****e, it will be very bad reading!!!

Its just typical of the Irish public, that couldn't give a s*it about their local club untill they win something etc then their the No.1 fan.

When did we win something?
She was trying to be funny with her "na na na" response.Didn't find it funny myself but in know way was she proclaiming to be an ardent UTD supporter.Do agree with your sentiments in general but not in this case.
