This might be going out on a limb but will the christmas tree be given counselling for it's horrific ordeal? I wonder if it twigged what was going on?

Why is is some videos on youtube take forever to download and keep stop-starting while others are almost instant............aren't they coming from the same source?

I realise this question may display my complete ignorance of computers.

Thats hilarious.
They should have convinced Delaney to talk to him.
No sound either.

I have sound, but very slow, so I only saw the first few seconds.
Just enough to think 'Karl Spain wants a Premier League spot'

It's worth getting the sound on. It might be just your connection. There's a link beside the video called "Dundalk's finest moments". Surely this tops them all!

A few sample quotes:
"We have a man Gerry Matthews who put mill-yins into the club"
"Yiz are a farce!"
"Get f*ckin Delaney here"
"Yiz put in about a play-off FOUR games before the end of the league"
Something about 'the same club who had to play Harps.....and the FAI made the game go ahead whatever happened.
Then when a Garda tossed something in the window to him, some punter shouts "He's givin' him a light-ah"

And then the best of the lot -
"Ask Roy Keane what they're like!"
(to guffaws from the gathered crowd).

Sound for the first part - he just ranting about previous injustices against Dundalk. Think i saw a rugby add on the in the background tv. He moaning about Rovers who have no ground. Lots of guards standing around before he "hands himself in". :D

Great video. Much of what he says makes sense. In fact, his speech functions as a rather neat metaphor for the process he was protesting against. You couldn't query its inherent logic, the insane thing was that it happened at all.

Fair play to Maxi - a gas man altogether.

It would have been funnier if he had actually got to talk to John 'Max Bialystock' Delaney

It's not exactly the Munich Olympics in terms of a security risk, why didnt someone just grab him. Even better get a couple of guys dressed up in SAS type outfits scaling the walls and see how quickly he comes out.

Cant understand why they didnt just go in and grab him.
Even when he gave himself up,they just lead him to the ambulance, rather than a squad car....says it all really.

I love the way people criticise the gardaí, simply because they themselves are utterly ignorant!
From what I could see, the emergency services handled the situation very well. No over the top reaction and his welfare was given priority by having the paramedics examine him, before he was taken away.

The good old days would have seen him get a funt up the hole for his trouble and we'd have pages about police brutality then.

I hope Mr. McAllister picks up the bill for the operation.

From football365.com, who I;m fairly sure have never mentioned Irish League football before.

The Stand-Off: Irish Style
Thursday's Mediawatch brought you news of the Dundalk fan who entered the FAI and 'doused the reception area and front of the building in petrol' at protest at Dundalk's exclusion from the new FAI Premier League.

Today we bring you a link to the footage. Basically, it's a fat bloke with a watering can. But by God, it's funny.

Thats quiet funny. Which side were on the right by the wall? I like the repeated attempts to throw a keg at guy from 2 paces.

Best bit is when the squad car arrives but gardai take their time to get out of the car & then just stand there. I know they waiting for backup but they could have at least driven in between both sides.

If they are Rovers supporters, then watch out, its going to be everybody else's fault.

KOHMisunderstanding.

It wasn't actually a pub, its a clothes store which had new Burberry and Stone Island stock just in and the lads couldn't wait to get their hands on it. Those boys love their English clobber.......

Seriously though, I've seen Trinity students wield a traffic cone with more intent. Those lads need a crash course up in Derry to learn how to riot properly.

Thats about the size of it. These are the guys that hold the league back. They are not football supporters at all .... they are scum. There is no way anyone can justify that.

How do you work that out? So all the people who were considering going to that game decided not to on the basis that there would be trouble at a pub 2 miles away? Nonsense, it's people sticking this stuff up on You Tube and on here that are calling attention to it.

Is it just me or does it look like one of the Rovers lad has an umbrella and starts hitting a Bohs fan with it. The Bohs fan then grabs it off him and starts hitting him and then he runs away! Hilarious! :D

KOHWAR, I tend to agree that incidents like this don't really impact the success or failure of domestic game in the wider sense (despite what the Herald or Gerry McDermott may say), but your seem to have a Jesuitical approach of criticising everyone bar the sub-human goons in the video.

It can't always be someone elses fault.
