Blackburn's UEFA Cup match against Nancy: "Andy Todd limps off to be replaced by an extremely young looking Eddie Nolan" Yes! I've been waiting for this young lads first team debut. He is an absolutely excellent prospect and is highly rated as a centre half. Another product of the emerging Waterford Crop(Murphy, Hunt etc)

Great stuff. todd was just back in the team after a long time if i'm not mistaken, i never want a man to get injured but i'm happy to make an exception in todd's case(gurrier) especially now that it opens the door for the fresh-faced waterford lad, pity he only limped off though eh. sparky said the other day that the squad was pretty decimated with injuries so this could be nolan's big opportunity. blackburn arent endowed with an abundance of good CBs even at full strength so if the boy does good...
i wonder what the nancy boys will make of him?(couldnt resist)

heard an interview on the radio about a year ago where one of his former coaches here was raving about him ..............funnily enough the phone in was about another "brilliant" performance from the Ferrybank hero in the green jersey........... caller reckoned that within a year or two that he'd make the breakthrough and p*ss all over o'shea.... hopefully this is the start of it

Eddie Nolan called up to the squad today.Trap obviously liked what he saw at the preston-reading match but it is odd that St Ledger was overlooked again.

Don't know who pulled out.

If I was to guess on his recent injury record I would say Finnan

McShane has pulled his hamstring as well.

I'd put in Nolan ahead of McShane anyway based on the few games I've seen of him (at right back anyway).

He's really good going forward which will be important if he gets on the field against Georgia.

With that name - I'd have thought you would have had dreams of a different nature - each to his own.

No where near good enough for international football and should be no where near the squad. Seen him in several underage matches for Ireland. Is a lower half championship player at best

had to go back to Preston with an achilles problem

Preston’s Eddie Nolan, who arrived as cover for McShane has returned to England with an Achilles tendon injury, but Trapattoni’s assistant Marco Tardelli insisted this afternoon that no more cover would be brought into the squad
