We'll show all the begrudgers we're more than Capable of doing it on the field.
Dont go shouting anything yet Conor! We are going to be picking a virtually new team it sounds like and we have to hope tony can get them to gel ASAP.

Isn't that what many said to me when i said we'd definitely be in the new league?;)
Obviously staying up is the main priority. However i feel we'll avoid relegation comforatbly.

great news, hopefully Tony can add a few quality players. The people of Galway should get behind the club and make the upcoming season a major success story.
It really makes for an interesting season next season! Got 2 lads to buy season tickets for next season for the first time today! That before even this was announced. I seriously think the city is ready now to get behind the club, it feels so strange to hear everybody talking about us before football in england!!!!

jesus - full time - i think its a bit abrupt - i thought this was a five year plan - slow progression and all that - a bit of cart before the horse if you ask me - for a team that drew so much at home - this is huge faith in a new squad gelling against far superior oposition

apparently this has been the plan since Tony came to the club. If we got in the premier we were always going to go full time. It doesnt change the previously mentioned budget of just over €1m. To be competitive in the premier we need a full time set up. It in no way guarantees success but it's a big step in the right direction. We are not going into the premier just to make up the numbers.

i really cant believe all of this,i optimisticly said we needed 8 new players but didnt think we could sign that many but now it appears we will.ive already got 2 friends talking about getting season tickets for first time next season.
the t.v exposure is something im looking forward to aswell, theres over 50 games in league and cup so we are bound to be on at least once:) .but im mostly looking forward to going to showgrounds and the atmosphere up there with those charming folk;) and gonna try get to brandywell for the first time in my life too.
obviously we will wait to see what signings there will be but going full time is an excellent step, waterford and harps tried it the half-ars*d way and suffered for it,i just hope we do have the money in place.
wow, talk about exciting times though:) .

Galway getting up and now going full time will but the situation of Raff coming home in doubt. At least he will be a premier player next season either way.

and the stars, somewhere that we both know, that is a place where he deserves to be. Strange that yer new manager said he was an alright player that need a lot of training? Not to confident about him, by the sounds of it???

well terry,Rob isnt gonna talk him up too much as we already know good he is.
I reckon he will sign for us,either way he will be one of the best right sided players in the Premier.
This is a massive development, I applaud the board 100pc if this happens. It remains the future of Irish football in my view and Tony seems professional enough to make use of a full-time set-up.
Speaking of season tickets, I told the family to pool their resources together and buy me one for Christmas, a good idea I think if anyone else is in a similar situation.

JW, what youd need is a season ticket for all utds away games. prob would get better use. but fair play none the less
LOL yeah
I could get the media pass I suppose.
Don't know how many home games I'll make, but will have many more potential lifts back to Dublin so hopefully a good few.

What is meant by 'going full-time'?
Your entire squad?
