I just went on the site to try check the Donegal Celtic forum - cos we beat them 3-1 tonight in Gary Beckett's testimonial.

I was really surprised.

Whats the story?

I haven't a clue - this is a bolt "out of the blue". Youse will end up being tortured by us on footie.ie :p We want our own individual clubs' forums on here! ;)

a big blow for irish league football fans if that truly is the end.
i don't know the precise reasons behind it but no doubt it was down to personal accusations or something similar.
i always thought the moderation was a bit easy going in some respects (part of the spirit of the thing i guess but allowed some to step over the bounds of what was appropriate a bit too often maybe?)

Is very sad. I feel at times on here the moderating is too strict but equally at times to lenient on ILF which has led to this. I have heard the story as to what has happened and to be honest seen it coming.

What a shame,I was shocked to say the least when I logged on and found out it was shut down. Hopefully Some 1 can get a forum up and running for Linfield fans as the section on ILF was very busy.

That is terrible news. I had become a regular on ILF and really enjoyed the craic on it.

Hopefully some one somewhere will set up a replacement if the current guise can't be resurrected.

Fret not it will be back by the weekend under new management. With a stricter editorial policy too, one would imagine.
