Our average crowds in the top division aren't that bad relative to population.

Our population is roughly four million . Compare to some of these Germany; 80 million. France, Italy and the Ukraine; 50 million. Spain and Poland; 40 million. Belgium and Austria; 10 million

Austria 5.367
Belgium 10.218
England 35.278
France 18.494
Germany 33.540
Italy 26.183
Poland 5.563
Scotland 16.024
Spain 30.920
Sweden 10.294
Ukraine 7.806

Does anyone know where you could get attendance records for all the league clubs?.Does any team have a working turnstile?
Even for the cup final the crowds seemed to be guessed as opposed to knowing for a fact?

I think Tolka has a working turnstile but $hels don't release the figures, they just use them themselves.

You could get everyone to post the attendence at their clubs' match. The problem would be most people haven't got a clue.

No most people would be guessing, and you'd have 50,000 at Bohs, Rovers and Pats as they are always having this arguement about who's the biggest, who has most fans etc etc...

What? Like three teams playing each other would probably get a huge crowd because everyone would like to see what the feck was going on!! You could probably put something like that on in Croke Park! :p

Obviously most people would be guessing. the problem is some people's guesses are often ludicruosly wide of the mark, ie an idiot on the Rovers forum saw a half full 3000 seater stand recently and accused Bohs of having only a few hundred at the match.

Eventhough people regularily overestimate their guesses it should be easy enough to get reasonable guesses for seated area. Once you know the capacity of ther stand should be easy enough to guess if 50%, 80% full etc....?

On the other hand ask 5 people how many they think the shed at the cross holds & bet you upwards on 1000 between highest & lowest.

Yeah but TT, I think you can see through all the bull**** to still get rough figures. The rainy league game at Tolka would have been around 3,000 evenly split IMO.
