From FAI

2006 Premier Division champions Shelbourne have also topped the Fair Play table, sharing top spot with UCD on 989 points. Each club will receive €3,250 – half of the combined prizefund of €4,500 for first place and €2,000 for second. And, as Shelbourne have already qualified for the Champions League first qualifying round, UCD – who also finished in first place last season – could also be in line for a place in next season’s UEFA Cup by way of UEFA’s Fair Play draw which gives three clubs entry to the competition each year.

In the First Division, Shamrock Rovers also added the Fair Play crown to their First Division trophy, finishing 13 points ahead of Cobh Ramblers on 1,163 points and claiming the €4,500 prizemoney. Ramblers receive €2,000.

You have to hand it to us, that's two years in a row and a few other times over the last decade. Gives us the most minute shot at Europe. Unfortunately we didn't even make the draw last year due to Ireland's poor discipline at international level. In the last week one of the underage teams got more than one player sent off. Before anyone gets too worried I think Fair Play parachuted teams don't count for the coefficient.

Congrats to Shelbourne also.

Did you ever consider how well you would do if you threw in a bit of cynicism into your play?

It's actually three years in a row counting the First Division. But ultimately, nobody really cares like. I don't there's any need to hand anything to anyone really.

All we need now is for Ireland to regain our place among the Fair Play elite, wihch hasn't happened for a while now...

As well as Bohs?
Or Bray?

From 20% more games though.
