Yes he's still alive, living abroad as far as my memory tells me (but I could be wrong there. Yes, he brought the club to Rathbane in 1983/84, changed the name to Limerick City FC, changed to crest and club colours, and moved out in the late 80's.

The falling out was like any other Irish football falling out-over money.
did he actually sponsor the league when he was with Limerick?
I know his restraunt chain sponsored the league at some point - just wondering was it concurrent with his time at Limerick

I thought he was still in Killaloe but could be wrong.
He sponsored th eelague for a epriod when runnign Limerick. He certainly had good intentions at the start He got robbed blind by trusting the wrong people. It was well known in Limerick that one guy bought a house for cash in the late 80's of which every penny came from Limerick FC. He left the club in 1989 if memory serves me correctly.
When you have the captain of the league champions saying his ambition in football is to be a stilesman on the popularside it shows how bad things were.

I thought he was still in Killaloe but could be wrong. I know he bought property in Spain and moved over there, but perhaps he divides his time, or else just takes prolonged holidays there.

And a very nice house it was too. I know the little pr1ck you're talking about. £100,000 he walked away with, sorry, robbed, without repurcussion.

No. It would be very dangerous to give any further info on this on a public forum.
