Those who have already signed are Philip Byrne, Alan McDermott, Philip Gorman, Steve McCrossan and Barry Slattery. Alan Byrne who is on the second season of his two year contract will also be staying at County.

All of the under 21’s who made the Senior squad this season will also be remaining and they include Matt and Paul Rigney, Colin Osbourne, Owen Kavanagh, Paddy Mahon and Johnny Flynn.

Negotiations are ongoing with other players from last season’s squad in addition to a number of possible new signings.

Also, Derry have signed Dave Scully. Very surprised.

Surely thats a bit extreme , I mean if they really want to stay they shouldnt have to be forced!

Ha I do too now.

Nope. Here at County we trap them and force them to sign on or else they spend the rest of their lives tied up in Station Road's secret basement. More innovative club policy from the eL's bright new star.

Really good news this.

As for Dave Scully good luck to him, surprising move alright unusual too when you consider they are currently managerless. Will County get any sort of fee or is he a free agent.

It seems he mightn't have moved to Derry after all. My blunder if that's the case!

Peter Hynes is the latest to be linked to County on the EL 2007 transfers thread. He is a striker scored 8 times in 38 appearances but its another striker the way things are going we will be owning almost all the strikers in Division One!.

8 in 38 is hardlt world beating firm. English fella I think, that was brought over by Roddy at Dublin. I think thats him anyway.

Looks like he is turning into a right journeyman.

He's not English, he's from Dublin. Was away with Aston Villa for a long time. John Gill signed him for Dublin City in 2004. First Division standard striker, very poor technically but occasionally effective. Bit of a jack-the-lad. Not much of an example to the youngsters.

Have heard he not all that good as well. I think County are alright on the striker front anyway.
One or two signings in the defensive/midfield/goalkeeping department won't go a stray.

You really dont want him at your club. Very lazy player. Was sacked from Dundalk FC. Never showed any loylety or commitment when he was with us. If you do sign him wait til you see the reception he gets next time in oriel and see what the Dundalk fans think of him

Lads, we just signed Stephen Cooling from yourselves, whats he like, just heard it on local radio.
Cronin also announced the re-signing of Alan Keely non-related, hes building a very strong team and has also said he's after 2 more strikers.

Cooling is a brilliant midfielder. Well above Mulcahy and Harte and your other new signings. Very creating, and has a nack of scoring brilliant goals too. You's should be excitded you got him. He is a Premier player.

Heard he was on the verge of signing for you last week although i thought your "relegation" might have scuppered the deal.

Quality set piece taker, you're probably guaranteed 5 goals direct from free kicks. He likes to get forward and has a good eye for goal but he has a babit of going missing for long periods during games
