[Please don't quote entire articles, and link to sources.]

i think this policy is pretty ridiculous. who wants to click a link every thread to find out what the OP is talking about? No-one (http://www.foot.ie/forumdisplay.php?f=90)

If you quote an entire article, you're infringing copyright. If you quote just a portion of it, it's fair use. If you were writing for a newspaper, how would you like it if someone started quoting your writing in it's entirety on some website, often without even a credit?
The feeds forum is just that, a feed. It's there to be read by a feed reader, not a human.

Adam, can you add that to this page (http://foot.ie/showpost.php?p=431900&postcount=2).
Also, i dont see what is wrong with clicking on a link, if you are actually interested in what it says (after reading the first few lines) then a two second click shouldn't be a problem. Its also good to visit the site that actually supplies the article, its their site and their article, its not too much to ask that you just visit it.

How's that?

Of course the other thing I didn't mention is that when a user doesn't visit the relevant site, the owner is likely being deprived of revenue.
Another equivalent is the Star's regular quoting of Foot.ie posts without credit for the poster, which we all complain about.
