Basically they said that they brought him in to create competition for the left-back berth.
It's a one month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
They think he moves well for a big lad and consider him to be very versatile since he can also play as a left sided centre half or left sided midfielder.

The monkey which Pete refers to is H'Angus.
He is the club mascot and recently ran in the mayoral elections.

It gets rough by the sea in Hartlepool during the winter Brian.
