Keep the grey matter ticking over seeing as there's little in the way of football to be thinking about. Might make it a regular thing if the feedback is positive

Crossword is here (http://www.walkthechalk.com/eircom/competitions.html)

Giving it a second go now, the answers on the forum have helped me a bit :D - as for Shels greatest defender and Pat's crazy nickname had me stuck for ages :o - I was trying to think of nicknames for St. Pats

Super stuff. I've gotten most of them (even a few through total guesses) so far. Good to see WTC going from strength to strength. :ball:

Excellent work. I only got Rigney and Kilkenny's Jones through sheer chance, as I happened to be browsing their squads recently. There's one in the top right-hand corner which is doing my head in though. I know the answer (actually I count two possible answers, including one nickname) but it/they doesn't/don't seem to fit.

Station and Rigney;)

I'd imagine the rigney's question was very difficult for anybody outside kildare!!

I can't get the ex Bohs managed capped by Ireland one, and I know I'll end up kicking myself!

I'll give you a hint. He won the cup with us in 1992 and also managed Shels. He also shares the same surname as an eircom League cricket-playing goalkeeper. :p

And he rhymes with EGG. :D

Am missing Kilkenny's Jones too, the only one. :(

Excellent work by the way eL punter.

We're not complete sadists, the 'Kildare Rigney's' answer you will find on http://www.walkthechalk.com/eircom/index.php, as well as the 'Jones of Kilkenny' clue. :)

First word as in --- Dolan (the manager), second word is the surname of "comedian" Brendan and also what Americans say before meals.

....what Americans say before meals.

I don't think there's enough space to fit 'Enjoy your Happy Meal, have a nice day'
