Anyone else that attended the concert?
Just back from a long night (afterparty included), enjoyed it well. Maynard is a brilliant vocalist, his vocals are crystal clear and a relief compared with the screaming vocals of most metal vocalists (including that support act Mastodon :eek: ). Wings for Marie, The Pot, and Aenima were the highlights for me.
Must admit though, am mainly into A Perfect Circle. I got interested in Tool because of Maynard and did enjoy the concert and the Tool records I gave a try, but I still prefer APC. There's something mysterious and unique about them, and I do miss that a bit in Tool (as far as it's fair at all to compare the bands, they just happen to have the same vocalist but they're different bands alltogether). Anyway, I enjoyed my Tool experiences so far (both concert and recorded songs) but I do hope MJK gets A Perfect Circle back together after this tour, I really would love to hear Brena, 3 Libras, Orestes, Passive and The Hollow live.
