I emailed him a while back to ask again about why he left and if he was going to come back, no answer.

why did he leave was it over a post he made or something? tis a pity. he offered good insight and had good stories...strangeirish can you pm me and ill give you my email address to give to him?

He flipped out in a thread about Islam and got into a flame war with Condex, so I locked it, and he started protesting in another thread. He then decided on a pre-emptive strike and left before I could ban him, even though I never even suggested anything like that; I just wanted him to calm down. It's a pity, he was a good poster.

The TottyWatch topic isn't even in the recent topics list anymore since he left!

I was PM'ing with him regularly before I was inactive myself due to health reasons, so when I logged back on to foot.ie I was quite surprised to see he was gone. He was one of the most respected posters on here, almost a core member. If someone can PM me his email I will get back in touch and drop the suggestion of him returning to the boards.

Yes he seemed like a nice fellow but I take umberage with this particular point. The whole point of the Tottywatch thread was for cracking birds to be put up, particularily ones that might not be "mainstream", oggled and that be that, but too often Hamish introduced idle chitchat.
That asides he seemed rather knowledgable.

Not wanting to turn this into the good and bad of Hamish but agree with that. He could've used the PM system for half his posts.

drinkfeckarse i remember someone getting banned in the past and you did a bitch about them too. couldnt you have pm'd kingdom to let him know you agreed with him if thats the case then....i dont think he fully understood the difference between the PM and threads in terms of 'related' content.....

News to me Paul, wouldn't mind enlightening on that. On the subject at hand, I don't regard it as bitching. I simply said half of his posts were subjected to Green Tribe and a few others and could've been kept to PM IMO.

No big deal, I'm sure Hamish won't mind if he's reading and he seemed a nice enough fella. It's a forum after all.
