Thought this might be of relevance given that Steve Morrow is in line for the job and Ronnie O'Brien is still there:

Interestingly their nickname is now Hoops! They play in a new purpose built stadium 30 miles from Dallas. Also their owner Lamar Hunt, who coined the phrase Super Bowl, has a Rovers connection:

What are your first memories of soccer?

LAMAR HUNT: The first organized soccer match I attended was a Shamrock Rovers game in Dublin, Ireland. I went with my future wife, Norma, in fall 1962. She was in Ireland studying on a Torary Foundation Fellowship. We watched the game from a standing room-only terrace behind one of the goals.

Stood on those terraces for many years myself watching Frank O'Neill beat his full back at will but still unable to stop Waterford with Peter Thomas, Johnny Mathews etc alia take the league every time :( Can't say I met my wife there though :D
