Hello eanna_ccfc,
I saw your posting on our (Hull City) Tigers board asking about Damien Delaney.

As you are probably aware Damien was Peter Taylors very first signing when he became our new manager.
At a fans forum last week, he (Peter Taylor) said once he had accepted the Hull managers job offered by Adam Pearson our amazing chairman, he told Adam that he wanted to buy Damien straight away before anyone else did. He was given the go ahead to finalise a deal and it went through within a matter of a few days.
Damien started the away game against Torquay United at left back but was moved for tactical reasons to left midfield a little later in the game.
Along with the rest of the team, Damien played very well in the 1.4 drubbing of a team who had not lost at home this season and were joint top of the division before the game.
He has the potential to be a very good footballer and one of the reasons he came to Hull apart from Peter Taylor was his ambition to get into the Full Irish squad. With the Peter Taylor influence and playing for a very ambitious club such as Hull City, the future for Damien is very bright, hopefully he will seize the opportunity with both hands and be a real asset both for Hull City and Ireland.

If you want to see how ambitious our club is, log on to our new Super Stadium site where hopefully Damien will be displaying his talents for years to come. The 25000 all seater stadium will be completed by the 16th December with the first home league game pencilled in for Boxing day against Hartlepool United.
Come over when you can to enjoy watching Damien and the hostpitality of the friendly Yorkshire folk of Hull.
