Just came accross this on the Ocean FM Website:

Sligo Rovers Press Release Nov 05, 4:47 pm
Sligo Rovers Football Club wish to announce that Sean Connor has tendered his resignation as manager of the club. He is contracted to the club until the end of the 2007 season and until this matter is resolved the club will make no further statement.

Signed: Michael Toolan, Chairman Sligo Rovers FC on behalf of the Sligo Rovers Management Committee.

Now that PR, Released after 2 days after it happening, looks like the reverse of the DOR Situation, which saw a large payout to dispose of his services! It looks like the MC are going to try and force SC to buy out his contract.

Fair Play:)

Looks like one that may run for a while!

in the indo today it talks about the club not accepting the resignation but sean counters it by saying his complementary car has been taken away from him and he cant use his office "so if that isn't accepting the resignation I don't know what is"

they should give him his car and office but fine him for improper behaviour and give him no wages
